studio etiquette
1. Punctuality
Please try to be in the studio at least five minutes before the start of the yoga class so that we can start early. The door will be closed for security reasons and admission after the class has started is unfortunately no longer possible.
2. Shoes
Please take off your shoes as soon as you arrive at the yoga studio and put them in the shoe racks provided.
3. Consciously practice Ahimsa
One of the most important tenets of Yoga, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism: Don't hurt! Neither you nor others, neither in doing nor in thinking. Practice consideration and non-violence towards yourself and others.
4. Injury, illness or other personal needs
Anyone with a physical problem or limitation knows how to deal with it. It is important that you communicate this to your yoga teacher before the yoga class, then he will know why you might change some yoga poses and can offer you alternatives that suit you better. These tips and advice will not only help you during the yoga class but maybe even in everyday life.
5. Cell phones, valuables and bags
We ask you to switch off your cell phone completely before entering the yoga room at the latest - including the vibration! Put these and your valuables and bags on the shelves provided in the yoga room so that your yoga space is tidy. Please note that we cannot accept liability for valuables.
6. How do I behave when the yoga room fills up
Should it ever get fuller in the yoga room, we look forward to getting together and opening a 4th row. There should also be room for all yoginis and yogis. It's also very quiet! And it also works in such a way that the space is used optimally and nobody interferes with the other
7. Silence is golden
We have enough time for chatting before and after class. During the hour they only disturb. Do ask questions, but only if they are urgent and don't bother the others. Everything else can wait until after the hour....
8. Savasana
Turning your head and not your feet towards the yoga teacher in the Savasana resting position at the end of the class is a worldwide custom that expresses respect for all teachers, who are also known as guru in Sanskrit
9. Behavior in the yoga room
Apart from water, drinks and food are not permitted in the yoga room. Do not enter the yoga room with street shoes! The yoga room is also a place of silence and contemplation, so we ask you to refrain from using your cell phone (telephoning - also in the anteroom, whatsapp and SMS). And we are really happy when you put everything back properly after using the yoga equipment - especially the blocks, blankets and bolsters. This saves us time and nerves
10. Respect the teacher's sequencing
Don't make your own routine. Inform the teacher of any injuries or conditions (e.g. pregnancy) that may affect your practice. Your instructors will provide you with appropriate changes. Please do not add any other positions in the sequence. you this. trust the process.
